unless you need to re do bushings or re clock the torsions leave it alone. i hou absolutely have to split it, using a die grinder isnt going to weaken anything to remove them, id use the OME gussets when you put it back together
Thanks! I will probably need to reclock them when I add the weight of a bumper I ordered. You've encouraged me to take a swing at grinding the parts apart. I agree with you on the gussets, I ordered a set yesterday. I can use them either way I end up going. Supposedly the LC100 arms have the first horizontal hole for the gusset pre drilled that the LX470 arms don't have, so that's what I'll look for from the parters if I go that way.

these things are pretty stout, dont be afraid to drill a hole or 2 ive got a pretty rusty 100 and have wheeled the piss out of it with zero issues, on other torsion trucks i have tack welded recievers just like yours has, grind out what you can take out the bolts and smack it with a brass sledge to crack the weld. make positive that you use kroil or liquid wrench the night before on all bolts and splines DE TENSION before you unbolt, made that mistake once...

Thanks for all the good advice. I can't imagine what happens when you crack loose the receiver bolts with a loaded torsion bar! Yikes.
