I picked this 58-71 vintage fj40 heater vent an wanted soo wha the general opinion was weather to plop it into my lv. second pic is of my lv panel that has no vent. i plan on putting one of the heater ac combo units in but not wuite right away but don't want to shp into the body after it has been painted so this would get done and just be decoration for awhile. those that have the heaters is it essential to have the vent or could i get away with out it?
thanks

The style of blower that uses the vents directly pulls fresh air from outside There isn't a way to 'clock' the intake on the newer blower to pull air in from the engine bay. Not that you'd want to either. I think vent the LV, and away ya go! The air in the engine compartment is uh...well...'not-so-fresh' :)

where do I get an angled vent i got the bolt on style vent if its the bolt on one is it interchangeable with the angle style?

Fly out to Colorado and you can look through the garage. I know there are a few extras in there but I can't bring myself to look. It is too emotionally painful at the moment.
