Fawwwk.

I stopped in on and off trying to talk that old fire warden from Yalakom into selling his passed wifes old 45 for like 8 years :crybaby:. Saw her book of maintenance from new in the glove box for her beloved 'Jazabelle'. Then I spotted it in Lillooet on my way through a few weeks ago but couldn't stop to ask about it. Uggg, congrats on bringing the one owner 45 home Dan.

yup, thats the one:D

sorry if i scooped it on ya bro:frown:

Ah, its good . Guess I didn't need it enough to have brought it home years ago. It was more that I really liked the idea of getting it one day as a resto project, and just sort of took for granted it would always be there. Truck has quite a story behind it, some of which is documented in her records, which made me want it more. The 'owner' didn't have phone or internet at his cabin, so he gave me a mailing address instead :grinpimp: I knew something was up when it wasn't on the cattle ranch that was using the truck and when I drove past his place his driveway had been blocked off from the road. Hope he's ok.

Cool rigs Martin. But they are fuel hungry gassers and parts are more $$$ and harder to find than say a Canadian BJ or HJ. Better suited to an older guy with more time and deeper pockets. Although, that yellow one in the back looks sweet. I presume that one is $3,000. If it were mine, I'd want to transplant a diesel. Not sure what all is involved but I am sure it would be a lot of money.

"These are unique Land Cruiser look-alikes"

Often copied never matched? Lol

Actually those little beast were the first ones to successfully make the Simpson Desert Crossing. No copy on those rigs. ;) Just parts are a tad hard to find here. Although ebay always seems to have limited aftermarket stuff for them. Makes me think the seller doesn't know what they are selling. Giving the location of the pics, I am thinking they were used in a movie.

Those trolls are sweet little trucks. Its funny how Heeps, Cruisers, Trolls and Rovers all have similar characteristics in design.

Exactly what came to mind. Get the most solid one of the bunch and a $1000 parts BJ60 as donour for the mechanical stuff. Obviously the investment wouldn't end there but it would be a fanatastic father/son build project and a unique truck worth having when complete :meh:
