toyota land cruiser 1990 130000km diesel
So I went to go see this truck today with my dad....
I must say if anyone here had a thought of looking at it don't bother as your would waste your time/money... and lots of it lol.
Now I ain't no prof mechanic by any means but ill list somethings here....
The Good:
-Its a Toyota diesel?
-Its still in one piece lol....
-All joking aside the body is in pretty good shape
-little to no rust on the underside
-BEB's, Water Pump, Timing belt replaced by someone in Langley... Initials are CL?
-Burns super clean... makes me wonder if he even running diesel or some mystery fuel lol
The Bad... He has had it 3-4 years and has not done anything PM wise.
-Driver side knuckle is completely rusted, wiper seals are falling out from rubbing.
-rear heat lines starting to peel (didnt want to touch them)
-Blow-by oil all over the engine
- IP linkages are all corroded, you rev it up and doesn't return to idle unless you push it back with your hand
-Pass side of engine block all full of oil.
-PS lines leak
-Little to no PS fluid in reservoir
-AC belt looser than i dont know what (he says AC works though

)
-Inside smells like a cigarette factory
-Tires are almost worn but cracking all over
I cant imagine the thing drives very well with the front axle the way it is but he says he is going to put synthetic oil in the front diff and it will fix everything
And all for top dollar of 13000.... it sure makes TLC81's truck look like a steal!
Anywho that was an hour of me feeling bad for a cruiser today
Cheers!
