So one of the guys at work is looking for new tires for his Pathfinder, and based on my older cross border tire shopping experiences I pointed him towards Discount Tire and Tire Rack.
He did some further digging and found a store in Quebec called PMC Tire that seems to be pretty damn competitive with the USA pricing vs what we are typically gouged for up here, even with the dollar where it's at now.

For example, from PMC 4 of 315 75r16 BGF All terrain t/a KO2 shipped to my house is $1,348.67 ($81.25 shipping and $64.22 GST..it does not state any PST). Each tire is $300.80 . This is unmounted obviously.

From Discount Tire:

4 of the same tire @ $237 USD (using a closer Washing state store) is $1068.28 USD (again, unmounted).
Take that and the approx current exchange rate of 1.23 and it is $1314 CDN, plus you still need to go down and get them.

Kal Tire:

4 @ $334.10 plus taxes, enviro fees and minus $50 rebate = $1466.77 (and apparently they have some 5% deal for price guarantees)

Perhaps with the dollar they way it is now it's not such a big deal anymore.

Sure it's not "buying local" but it's still Canadian.

Feel free to hack this all to pieces now.....

Smaller tires but I just got a quote from Curtis Tire in Abby for 4 BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2's 235 75r 15 for $846, mounted balanced and tax-in.

Discount has free flat repair, free lifetime BALANCING. Canadian companies can be competitive on pricing, but not with free balancing
something to consider.

I get all that at Curtis Tire, been buying there for 15 years.

Once a year trip to the land of all you can eat buffets, cheap diesel and the best roads in the world.

I think they just opened a 4WheelParts center in Langley. They're showing 271.99 each for BFG AT KO2 315/75/R16. No shipping required.

Cooper ST Maxx is what I put on - Load E.

I love my coopers! I've had four sets
