Tire Rack. Americas Tire Fees

I am getting 5 tires for my 07 GX 470 I kinda bought what was on budget so not sexy, I have yet to take it off road.

Costco charges over 300 for this tire and America's Tire does as well.
So I get the tires and America's Tire is charging north of 160 dollars to install them and then I read from them I do not get Roadside Assistance from Americas's tire only installation. And now they are saying if I want Roadside Assistance I would have to pay even more.
I see that Tire Rack gives two years Roadside Assistance. Put about 2K on the rig yearly so yes the other tires aged out.
With the new law coming down the path in Ca. I went out and got the tires, I will be forever bummed I did not get the KO3 but a budget is a budget.

It's still a proposal, not a law yet.
Whenever I buy tires I go to a small mom and pop tire shop and have them installed for about $25/tire. No warranty needed. If I get a nail in the tire I pay $25 to have it fixed.
Why did you not buy from Costco since warranty is so important to you?

I usually buy my tires from Americas tire and Costco, but I wanted to give Tire Rack a try, like anything the devil is in the details. I usually pay about 40 dollars to have my tires rotated so at least twice a year so I starts to add up. I used to commute and go through tires and now I am retired I am not.

A 2nd on the local/independent tire shop (LTS). My LTS has prices that usually beat Tire Rack and Discount Tire. They can get nearly any tire within a couple of days. I also use them for tire balancing and alignments too, both of which are cheaper than the chain stores. My LTS also has free rotations like the big stores.

I got all of my tires, painless installation, learn something everyday, It is good to drive it again.
