tire date manufaure codes

I just bought some new les Swab, AT toyos, I got home then checked the date codes they were made in 03. and 04, called them up they will be getting me some newer tires.

please share how to read the codes, that is pretty messed up.
What did they say when you called them on it..
were the tires stiff or cracked?

Otherwise just search tire date code/ manufacture date etc.

thanks I just found out that my used swampers that had 80 percent tread are 12 years old. no wonder my wife is walking circles around me on the trail. I did the key test and hers are soft to about 1/8th inch. mine are dried out and hard to maybe 1/32 with the same or simular pressure.
