I've seen a lot of bad documentation, but the instructions on the radio shack PL259 connector make me want to laugh and cry all at once. First line:
Grasp the connector body firmly and pull it out from the connector body.

Hello!, you bought something from Radio shack that wasn't a cell phone or RC toy, what did you expect?

If Sandys doesn't it have I order from the interwebs. RS is the avenue of last resort for me.

x2 Rusty.

Radio Sh** can't even use cheap arse Pastercrap components.

We are lucky enough to have a Tessco in town and I've been able to use my AMEX at the front desk before for will call items. They didn't seem to have a problem with that, but it was a few years ago. I have an account now if you need something that they won't will call, PM me.

The RS crimp connector worked so far, I nicked a little insulation off and soldered to the braid and also soldered the tip. I just finished it up, i havent transmitted or checked swr yet. I thought i was done, then tried to move the seat and discovered the lever hits the radio so had to redrill the mount. Rx works at least. I think i could steal an XJ seat in about 20 seconds now after all that.

What Local repeaters do you guys use?
