well on the 85's the hole in the air box is on the motor side. there is a plastic tube that comes out and up beside the head light.

that hole is where the oil filter gasket go's.
I can take some pictures on tuesday.

male electric screw in conector inside the box. the pvc ones won't screw in far enough.
90 to a 3 or 4 inch pvc pipe
90 and pvc across the front of the box through the inner fender
90 up to where you see it come out of the outer fender. (that spot takes 2 90's one male and one female.
45 up the wind shield.
45 at the end into a 2 inch to 3 inch adaptor and a plastic sewer cap to top it off.

the bumpers are home made. I could not find one that I liked so I looked at hundreds of pictures and came up with this one.
made the same one for my wifes truck.
I am pretty proud of how they turned out, my first large metal project.

take your motor computer behind the pass side kick panel.. connect a ground to it and the cab.. then shove it up behind the glove compartment and secure it there.

first time you dump it in deep get ready. water will squirt into the cab up through shift boots, drain holes..

fan, go electric and turn it off.

now take a chunk of ply wood about 1.5 by 1.5 feet and try to run through a pool.. now think about the forces that you are putting on your radiator. you can easy push it though its mounts.

since you sound like a newbee on the deep water stuff.. sorry if you are not.
it is all about kinetic energy, weight displacement and rate of displacement.
so at 20 mph water is like jell-ow.
at 25 it is like mashed potatoes
at 30 it is like mud.
at 40 thick mud.
much above that it gets really thick.

at 100 it is like or close to cement.
at a 150mph it just as well be cement.
at that speed I would say worse then cement, as you will be changing angle as you slow down and the resistance if you don't bounce would increase untill you came to a stop. as with cement your trajectory would change then you would only be dealing with resistance.

awesome

cool, thanks for all the help...i've got my game plan now, the pics definately helped, and those bumpers are sweet, nice work....and i'm not too much an amatuer with water crossings, just an amatuer at doing them properly haha....thanks again! i'll probably get started on my snorkel next week over spring break....

thanks... the bumpers if I were to figure 65.00 and hour for labor.. those are about,,, 2200.00 bumbers. well at least the first one.
I have people ask me alot what it would cost to make one for them... I have no idea.. they take 3 to 4 days of busting your butt... and about 10 grinding wheels and 2 spooles of welding wire.

take a bunch of pictures of your snorkle build and post up...
if you have any more questions post up.

ill have to get a pic next time i see him but i have a friend that drives a toyota paseo
he just cut a hole in the hood and stuck a cold air intake off a 4wheeler on it
