Timbren rear bump stop

Anyone ever installed a set of Timbren active off-road rear bump stop on their 80s series?
I have a 2.5 inch OME lift, and the rubber part of the bump stop touches the axle when the truck sits flat. Is that normal? I feel like it would restrict my axle play going off-road?

i have had a set of Timbren bump stop for my front and rear going on for about 6 plus years now. They work as they should, 4" lift on 37s.
