Tie rods and Relay

I’m in the middle of doing my tire rods and relay bar ends on my RHD HZJ73 today. Which ends are reverse threaded and any tips for getting the ends unscrewed?

I got them off and apart. Damn, what a pain. Now to put the new ones on. Do they typically come pre greased?

Now I’m stuck again…. I really can not get the new toe rods into where they are supposed to go. Is it supposed to be this hard? Hammering doesn’t work and screwing the nut onto the bottom just strips it out.

555, Joint Fuji or OEM? I recently bought 555's and they were ungreased (and unpainted) if they had zerks. Think (hope) the ones w/o zerks were pre-greased.

They are Fuji. My main problem now is getting them pressed and seated, argggg.

Picture showed after I posted. Looks like its at a slight angle? 555/Joint Fuji are differently sized than OEM. So if you just counted threads from OEM ends and tried to use that count for the new aftermarket TREs it will be a little off.

I have now also noticed that I’m installing everything upside down and that’s the cause of all my problems. D’oh!

You have the adjustable ones. So do I.
You need to grease them after install.
I also found that the factory preload is fine at the beginning, but it developed some play after a while. So check after install and once in a while and ajust as needed.
