That pic does spark a memory about a show that featured those dogs. Apparently they have been used as security dogs in Russia. The show said that basically you would be insane to try and keep one as a pet.

The cool thing is that they are plug and play. They were bred for living for months with flocks and making their own decisions. My understanding is they are not easily trained. They only bond to one person.

Adoption offering

I dunno about that...

Looks like a lovable little scamp...

look at the size of that vicious beast. :shiver:

the dog is big, too.

I don't care how vicious your Dog is, if he gets to be too much for you to safely handle, give Him/Her to me.

Okay - please come get this one.

Can you do it discretely, like at night, and will it be ok if it's tranquilized and in my neighbor's yard (he likes to sleep there)?

why would eric bump this thread when there are no pitbulls?

I've had a dilemma going on for a while with the new dumb**** cuban neighbors. They've had a pit bull tied up in the back yard that they never take care of, it's got heartworms and god knows what else. I hate the breed but I hate bad owners too. Well the neighbor on the other side whose deck overlooks the s***bags back yard finally called animal control today. The chick from AC reamed the cubans out big time and wrote them a big ass ticket, you should have heard those fxxxers whining...lol.

Uhh, they're raised for food, dude. That's a web page for a dog ranch.

Tibetan mastiffs are slightly smaller than Engish Mastiffs. They are mountain dogs bred to survive on anything. They will eat their way through wooden fences.

They are a one family dog and are very good watch dogs/protectors.

I don't think there are very many here in the USA.

so you don't have to buy them food or take care of them?

sounds perfect for you...

Until you run out of wooden fences for them to eat through, but that's still cheaper than dogfood. Do they spit out the nails I wonder? Maybe you can pick up their poop with a magnet, that'd save some time, but I'd hate to hit it with the mower.

A guy in our club has one, great dog. Protective of their "family" but very even tempered and social. Thus far, his fences are in tact, no fence eating here:meh:

A friend has one. When they go camping, he finds a nice vantage point to sit and watch over them.
