I'll be missing this one... I hear Cancun calling me. :D
Ciao,
GG

It's going to be HOT and muggy. You are aware that this is hurricane season down here?

When the mugginess has gotten to you you can always take a couple of days and come see us in the Guatemalan highlands where the weather is better. Maybe we can have a "Coastal Cruisers" meeting at my shop!

"Hot", "Muggy" and "Hurricane" are all terms those of us marrried to Mexican women are well acquainted with. I am sure Phil can handle it with enough XX in him. :hillbilly:

John, it's not something that is only found in Mexican women!

Chilcotin Expedition 2009

Some agenda topics:
-Discussion of Cruiser Days 2008 & 2009.
-Web site participation by members.
-Destination for Labour Day long weekend run.
-Possible venues for Xmas Party.
-Raffle

- potential Chilcotin Expedition 2009 (7-10 days)

Mat and I discussed this briefly at Whipsaw. Mat is away so maybe just mention it and defer discussion till next meeting.

Won't be able to make it this time, I'm in Wichita Kansas right now on a Learjet maint. course. Hopefully when I return the welding on my inject. pump mount flange will be done and I can reassemble the 13B-T timing case.

No 60/62 series trucks on craigslist down here right now, looks like I'll be flying back....

Have a good time guys, hope to see you all soon (with the truck running again!)

Take care

Sorry guys. I can't make this one. Lots to do tonight before heading into the interior tomorrow. Still working on the deck and have to pull apart the a door on my rig again tonight as the aluminum shear pin I made to fix the window regulator broke. This one will be steel. Now just hope my kids are easy on the window button and don't burn out the motor. :frown:

Kids CANNOT leave any buttons alone, especially power windows. You should know that by now. :)

Well it was the big kid last night. The steel pin I put in broke while I was testing it just before dark. Went over to the neighbour and he welded the cog to the shaft and then I had to reshap the end of the shaft to it origonal size with the grinder and a hand file so it would fit in the plate hole and spin. If it breaks again, then it is time to fork over some cash for a new one.

Anything decided at the meeting?

Unfortunately Phil could not make it because he was stuck in Cancun, Mexico. :hillbilly:
Guest Clint with trail ready Crew Cab Toyota P.U.

- Tall tales from the Whipsaw trip. Everyone had a great time. Re: fireworks, everyone bring your own.

- Cruiser Days 2008 was the most successful yet. 97 vehicles(incl. one EBI beat-up Suzuki crudely disguised) . Our club will donate $800. and Lisa gave $200. so the Children’s Hospital will receive a total of $1000. We hope to have the 2009 Cruiser Days at the same location on Saturday, July 18, 2009 if it is available. Someone suggested the possibility of bringing in a company with an inflatable kid’s playground to keep the kids happy.

-The Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 6. 2008, and we will try to get the same location as last year, and will request Heidi The Hostess. We hope to have the grand prize of an ARB fridge/freezer. We will skip any Dec 11 Cruiser Meeting.

-Club Website: Marcin worked hard to develop this site and we need all CC members to make use of it by sending in pictures, articles, and announcements to his email which is listed on the site. We waited years for a website like this, so LET’S USE IT!

-September Labour Day weekend falls on August 30-Sept 1 this year. Our base campsite will be at Swartz Lake and you can decide whether you come in from the south via the Hurley, Bralorne, Goldbridge route, or in from the north via the Lillooet-Yalakom FSR to get there. Since we hope to visit Poison Mountain, it probably makes more sense to come in from the Goldbridge end. There might be a mountain bike festival of some sort there so we should have a plan B just in case. We will post maps here on Mud. :steer:

-New member: Jason Chisolm drives a ’91 HDJ81. Welcome Jason! :D

-Next summer, maybe August 2009, Glenn suggested a 7 to 10 day trip into the Chilcotins toward Bela Cola. We would require lots of fuel because most of it would be wilderness only. Due to the small turnout for this meeting, its too early to see who will be considering this trip at this time. Bill is interested, while Rod McD, Aaron K, Steve T, and Marcin said “maybe”. We will keep floating this idea every month and see what develops.

-The raffle was cancelled due to a no-show of the person with the prizes. WHOOPS….Does anybody remember who was given the money for the prizes? Jeff? John? Rob Schultz? Mat? :o

-The meeting broke up early by 9:45 so Millson could get to bed! He can get kranky and he works now, you know!
