Playing with the idea of doing an SOA conversion on my 1989 fj62 so I would then sell the 3 inch OME lift that is on there now. Seeing how many people out there are interested in this and if I could sell it to get money for the SOA conversion. Would consider partly trading for some stock leaf springs to go with the SOA.

I'd love to have that set as long as they work for the FJ60, which I'm prettysure that they do. How much are you selling for?

Looking more into this and I dont know. I will need a lot just to get going. Hy-steer, driveshafts, gears with bigger tires, brake lines, breathers, and probably some other stuff. still considering it but I would probably need some help from somebody who has done it before. I was looking at prices for the OME lift and was thinking like $600 fair for it. From the PO it isnt any of the dakar springs it is the original OME lift which i guess it better. if somebody wants to help me with it maybe trade for time and work?

Do a lot of reading on here.Bunchs and bunchs of info for ya.I wish I was a lil closer.... I'm not a lot of help way over here.If it's a fj62, you already got the 4:10 gearing in your diffs. What size tires ya think bout runnin?

Depends on what your using it for. Let me know if you need a hand, you are welcome to use the shop again, although you'll have to dodge pigs.............

Myself, I'm going to run 4:1 gears for now. Then if it needs to go lower I will.Don't have alot of rocks around these parts and I do plan on driveing on the road with it also. We'll see.

I think the shipping would kill the deal for me so if some else wants in it's all you.I'm already lifted with the fj60.Just wouldn't mind runnin OME setup.

Sounds good I am busy with finals right now and I just bought another motorcycle so we I wont figure out what I am doing for another couple of weeks. Sorry guys to keep you hanging on this.

Shipping should not bee too bad. Prob $75 - $100. when I bought my lift thats about what it was. That was UPS too. Forward air might be cheaper. (And I only got the springs and shackles.)

Good luck selling!

here in tacoma wa, id like to get in line if the price is right

you would probably be better off to keep the OME's & have them de-arched. SOA's eat stock springs!

I always heard the oposite. That they eat at least the from the lift aspect a aftermarket spring.

If it were me I would go with the stock springs and sale the OME to offset some of your costs.

I have OME spring in an SOA configuration 2.5" lift. It easily clears 38.5/16/15 tsl's with rear cutout flairs and probably will be able to clear 40's which I would like to upgrade to, but not till I can put the 30 spline longfields up front. Anyway It works very well and for me it's what I wanted. OME springs are awesome, they are very stable, but flex well.
If you don't want over 35's I would recomend stockers.
Just my .02

Have you decided if you are going to do the SOA yet? What kind of shape are the OME in? How old? Pics? Are you interested in selling just the springs or other parts of the suspension system as well? I have stockers to trade.
