I don't know what they call the bars that go above the doors on a 40, but mine were permanently (it seemed) attached to my hard top and it looks like that is the piece I need to secure a soft top for a more watertight seal around the doors. I may not be making sense...sorry if that is the case...there is a big space between the top of my doors and my soft top (which is a bikini top right now--but that is another story for another time) where the rain pours in. It seems that there needs to be some connecting bit from the windshield to the roll bar behind the seat to secure the top to. Am I right? If I am, I need one from someone in Canada...hopefully B.C.
bikini tops just don't fit well. softtops have bars that run over the top and back to another bar that drops down behind the door, but bikini's don't.
