Howdy all. Thankfully unlike the many who snapped their bolts off disassembling this piece, my thermo housing is in one complete piece right now!
Unfortunately, the rust in one of the 2-bolts holding the upper and lower assembly together was the only thing holding the assembly together!
I have re-threaded both spots (had to bump up to a larger sized bolt...is now a 10mm x 1.25).
However, just in case this doesn't work/seal, does anyone have an upper/lower housing with good bolts/threads?
If not, am I best suited buying something brand new and will a 4-bolt pattern work on a 1975 2F? Have yet to find an answer on that one.
