Here's an easy one that I really like.

1 bag of oyster crackers
3/4 Cup of vegetable oil
1 package ranch dressing mix
1 tsp dill weed
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp ground red pepper

Warm oil, mix in ranch, dill, sea salt, and red pepper. Pour mixture over oyster crackers, stir to coat evenly, bake at 300 until golden brown stirring occasionally.

definately a fan of the seasoned oyster crackers my gma made em when i was a boy, we make them every year at christmas and her old recipe for homemade chex mix
 
Triscuits and hummus. Fxxxin' love that stuff, and it's pretty decent for you. Also like Ritz crackers with PB&J... they're like PB&J morsels.

Other faves include jalapeño and regular cheez its, marcona almonds, pistachios, and pringles pizza chips.
 
do I need to be specific? most any brand of "kettle" chips.

not the [whatever that seafood flavor is] n beer ones tho, trust me. no sea nor beer to be flavored, just blah.

x a bazillion on seeds, til your lips puff up from salt or you split yr wiggler opening the hulls.

wow, ya'll missing out on the wasabi peas from Trader Joes. I make it through about 2.5 bites before a particularly spicy one bites me back.

Almonds. Raw, roasted w/half salt, smoked w full salt, yum. Raw is even good for you.

Pinon nuts give you twice the tongue twisting workout as sunflowers; 10x if you pick n roast yrself.

if you gots frig: cottage cheese w/straw + blueberries for sweet snack.

black pepper triscuits and goat cheese.

I used to be really into Granola bars, but got fed up with all the trash they generate from their individual wrappings. I felt like I was going into a week-long expedition with 6 bars and leaving with a small mountain of trash.

home-made dried gravenstein apple slices
dried blood orange slices

oh, and sour jelly bellies = happiness
 
Jalapeno cheese and crackers from a MRE. Can't beat it, you can go forever on it, and not s*** for days!!!!!!!
 
Homemade beef/venison/elk jerky. Any flavor you want to make it.

Also dried smoked trout - like "squaw candy".

Real old-school GORP, with the occasional M&M allowed.

Baked Lay's chips.

Whatever's free in the EMS lounge in the ER...
