the ultimate freezer packs - gotta have a look

Hi,
So I tried them for this last trip and they are amazing, these are 10.5" X 9.5" X 1", medical grade freezer packs. I have a friend that supplies them to different medical clinics for transporting medicine and is willing to sell them to me. They are made from a special foam, you freeze them for a night or two and toss them in the cooler. They keep food frozen for about 4-5 days. I actually put an unfrozen steak on them and in 1 day it froze it! Once you're done, just take them out and store in a cool dry place, they last for about 1 to 2 years (depending on use) and I can get a lot of them. My cost is going to be about $15-$20 each. Anyone wants some?
The only thing is when frozen, do not add ice or water to them as it will unfreeze them quicker. They are fully sealed in a vacuum bag.

Sounds good. I like the idea of anything that leaves more room for beer while keeping it cold. I wouldn't mind one or two. I hope to make the next meeting if you guys will still accept a Safari guy to hang around. Perhaps you could bring them then?

I've been coming to meetings in a couch on wheels, an '85 Olds Cutlass sedan, so I guess we can tolerate a Nissan Safari alright.

I'll take a pic probably tomorrow. As for freezing beer, the idea is you put it on the bottom of your cooler, then you put meat and other frozen stuff on top, then beer on top of that. I myself will be getting 4, 2 on the bottom, and 2 on the sides to keep the other stuff cool. I will bring some to the meeting as well. I will know the cost by then for sure.
P.S. when I came back from the 4 day trip, they will still damn cold.

Ok, I finally came back from the prairies and had a chance to take a pic of the freezer pack. These are medical grade and will keep things frozen for about 4-5 days as long as you don't introduce water to them because they will defrost much quicker.
So far the lowest I can go is $15.00 each.
