Digitalfreq,

a 1 inch AHC "Sensor lift" is all. Cranked up the torsions a little and added a 30 mm spacer on top of the rear coils to take a little preassure of the AHC system. Some of the pics are on "normal" and some are on "High" setting.

It was a 700 mile round trip. I was able to share the driving w/ my 15 y/o son. He wanted some freeway driving under his belt.

A great way to spend a saturday with your son.........

Reminds me of when my Dad and I took a roadtrip to meet Spresso for the TJM, awesome father son bonding:)

Dan, your LX will look like this one day!

Yes for this wheel. inch and a quarter for the center TRD caps as our hub sticks out. An inch might work but i was unable to get a close look as the Les Schwab techs were installing them.

Deff not that much hard core wheeling in my future. But i do like to go out and play..........

Dan,

I think i'm about to want to do this exact same thing (AHC sensor lift in front plus spacer). Where did you get your spacers from?

ntsaint,

I got my spacers from man-a-fre.com

p/n 80sb30r listed for a "80" series but good for a 100 rear as well

$19.95 X 2 + shipping

Thanks Dan. Does your AHC still function properly (full travel from N to H)?

I'm assuming the combination of the sensor lift and the spacers gave you a more level stance, correct?

Ntsaint,

The AHC system still functions normally and the stance is whatever you want it to be as you adjust the front and rear independently to whatever ht you want (within reason)

The spacers and TB adjusting have nothing to do with the height. They just take some of the preasure off the AHC system and put it back on the springs.

98LXand 99LC,

The spacers from Man-a-fre are for under the rear coil springs and are made of a polymer/plastic. The spacers that i used for the rims are made of Alcoa Aluminum and are $170 per pair from Just Differentials. Yes they work very well with stock wheels and the stance is much better. No more "Railcar" look.

So could I use these spacers on stock rims/tires? I've always hated the inset look of my wheels especially with the flares.

They are speaking of spring spacers not wheel spacers. Lug patern is different for 80 vs 100. Coil spring diameter is the same.

Got it. So why the different spacer size from front to back?

LX&LC,

I was told that inch and a quarter was reqd for the RW wheels in front. I didn't want to go too wide in the rear to insure no tire contact on the wheelwell so i went with inch in the rear. It turns out that inch is enough to clear the TRD hub caps(barely) afterall.

Live and learn...........

Thanks Dan, appreciate the feedback. I think I'm going to go with 1" spacers front and back then.

Be advised the front IFS suspension loses some track width... roughly 1/4" per side on a 2.5" lifted 100. That is why some of us use wider spacers up front.

Also, TRD RW wheels have a +50mm offset while our stock wheels have a +60mm offset. Things to think about if trying to fit large tires. TLC Dan is running the equivalent of 17x8's with a +18mm offset. I think this could be problematic if one was trying to run a 315/70R17 (35x12.5).

I have some RW wheels too but still trying to decide whether to use 6mm spacers like Darthcruiser or drill out the bore to fit with no spacer. Local shop wants $200 (for all 4) to rebore it.

Bore seems to be the cheaper process, but people run 2-3" spacers in the oz with no issues, why are people reluctant to run 2-3"(or even 1") here in the U.S.?
