Matt.. I have the slee harness but never installed it..
The lights plug right in... The only thing you need to do is clip one of the ears on the bulb to fit into the housing.
If I go aux lights then I will upgrade the harness (with a gratuitous use of wire nuts) but other wise I say let it ride.

I think you're right. If I am going to spend any extra cash on wiring I think it will be for the main truck wiring since I have isolated my alternator light problem to the positive battery clamp. I looked at fourrunner's wiring upgrade, but am thinking I might just order a crimper and the wiring/lugs and do it myself.

I've got a buddy with a hydraulic crimper that'll do big ol' battery cables no problem. I can borrow it from him and give you a hand if you want, assuming it wasn't a tool that you were going to purchase aside from this one time thing.

I might take you up on that, although I will probably do a dual battery setup at some point so it might make sense to just go ahead and buy the little hammer crimper with the wire.

Right on. I borrowed it from him once before and was going to use it to wire up an aux block for my radio gear, and then our daughter showed up... I need to find one of those round tuit's and get that knocked out.
