They've ha that wench @ $299 for months now. It was at least

They've had the sale price at $299 but wouldn't let you add the 25% off coupon. Something is different about the way they put this online so it allows you to take another $75 off.

Buy us one and we'll leave it on my truck!

As I'm sitting in my drive way tonight finishing up my axle swap, I was wondering why don't you do the washer mod to the back side of the control arms to correct caster?

If you lowered the rear of the control arms a little, wouldn't that be the same? Or am I liking at it wrong, or is there too much stress back there?

You mean... Like "4+" brackets?

Keep in mind: them bars is leveraged like a catapult. So any slight movement at the axle is a drastic movement the farther out you go... so it would be more than a washer move.

Yeah I guess I do. I had never seen those.

They didn't take off very well.... No one wants a lift with drop brackets. We ain't no Ford or Cheby club!

It looks like due to the geometry you have to go down a long way.

you have to go down exactly as much as you lifted the truck.

Man-a-fre pairs them with CC bushings for bigger lifts. The problem there is that you have now created an unpredictable angle with the front pinion.

I don't know, I think they have sold a bunch of them. You see a lot of trucks with them installed in the 80 section. There was a video of a truck rock crawling over some huge boulders with them posted a couple of weeks ago, he didn't seem to have any problems with them.

I can see the appeal for a mostly street driven truck, it keeps the front end geometry, ie arm angle, factory. It also keeps the front tire from moving backwards into the fender like plates do.

I bought a used set from a guy that said they hung up too much

I never installed them after I got hung up on my factory mounts that first time with ACC.

FYI
There is a huge RC Helicopter club funfly this weekend in Bessemer near Bent Brook golf course (just off 459 at McAdory). I am not a member but i did fly planes and attempted helis a few yrs ago. This is a big event for the Bham heli club that they put on every year and its definitely worth a stop by if you get a chance. Last year was the first time I had ever attended a night fly and everyone who went was very impressed. There are rc vendors galore, food, music, and impressive feats of flying going on out there. Last year they were even giving away beer!

If you go bring chairs and enjoy...

I Highly recommend that you see the night flying. Last year there were several flying choreographed to music, lights and fireworks.

No doubt will be some guys I see at the met on weekends and even some week day evenings.
These guys are impressive. They easily spend more than we do as off-roaders...
Hobbies, I'm too poor to even afford the ONE that I have.

I had a stomach bug hit the entire family today including me, so I couldn't go to work today. I did however get to work on the cruiser since its a lot closer to el bano. I had put together a cad drawing for a tire swing out a couple of weeks ago that bolts to the stock bumper and I got to put it into motion today. Ill do a full right up when it's done but here are the "getting close to finished pics.
