It needs an 8274 winch up front

Personally I prefer a OEM PTO winch to be truly original. But a Warm 8274 would be a huge improvement of what's on there now. Either way doesn't matter you spend that kind of coin on a original FJ40 your probably not going to need a winch. Anyone paying that much for a FJ40 and plan on wheeling there going to be looking for one modified from stock.

At least that's my two cents.

Wonder if he would trade for my 2003 or 1991 or both?
Road trip!

Take the drawer system out and sell. Pays for the snorkel. Add seats. Next excuse? :) jk... It's a smoking deal for someone with the cash..

Pffff totally saw that coming.. "Well I have someone else offering 10k, if you can beat that..."

Sold to a guy from Irvine. He was nice enough to give me a courtesy call to let me know.He said the truck had some issues .He just purchased a low mileage 200. What a smokin deal.

Yeah emailed me too. Guess it went for 8k due to the rear locker not actuating correctly. Gonga deal regardless

@RockJock82, he got 10k for it. Was a smoking deal. Nice guy though. He had people from allover that wanted that thing.

This is what he sent me after my response was I am not doing the bidding war thing...

"Ohhh... I'm sorry you got that impression about a bidding war. What I
did receive was an offer of $10k...which was unexpected...but I wasn't
trying to get counter offers, etc.

I simply agreed to wait until this guy drove the two hours to get
here...and promised I'd hold off with others so his drive wasn't
wasted.

While going through all aspects of the vehicle with the guy, I
discovered an issue that you only notice off-road...and that was that
the rear locker was not cooperating. -Not fully engaging.
We spent a ton of time with this, and eventually I sold the Cruiser
for $8000. That's a killer deal...likely much less than I could have
gotten--since the mods alone are worth way more than that...but I am
selling the truck with a clear conscience, know that even if something
blows up (I suppose that's possible?), he's getting a killer deal that
I can live with.

So... No bitting war. I just felt it was fair to give the long driver a shot.

Anyway... Thanks for letting me know your initial impression. I've
never sold anything on Craigslist before...so perhaps I gave the wrong
response there.

Good luck with your Cruiser search, and thanks for responding.
