s to get them right and set up the hi steer and get ready for power steering setup.

Well its been a few months but I've been picking away at it. I got the dual cases and twin sticks done. Then started having fuel issues so decided to convert it over to propane. So now just got to order the P/S pump and build the cage and then get some harnesses and ill be done for the most part. I'm itching to go on a shakedown run. May go to River Rock OHV soon and break it in a little.

A little before and after photo.

Recently had to do a head gasket and did some small things that make it more enjoyable. I am still having issues with my heat if anybody has any tips for getting heat I'm all ears lol. I've done all I can do haha. I think the heater core is clogged.
Rear disk brakes and roll cage are next.

The truck looks like quite the beast. As far as the heat, The heater core has to have hot water flowing through it AND air flow across it. These trucks are notorious for plugged A/C evaporators since there are no cab air filters. I see your A/C is not connected but the evaporator is the first thing for air to pass through and condensation usually combines with dust to create mud. Chances are it's pretty plugged up. If you're not going to run A/C just remove the core.

As far as the heater core plugging, it's usually from the inside due to rust and crud from the cooling system. I've had good luck flushing them out with phosphoric acid. I did it on the bench when I had the heater and A/C box out for rebuild. I think you can buy a new core these days too. There are two small O-rings needed for the heater core. They are for two tubes clamped to the core that go through the firewall.

If you have the box out to replace it you may as well replace all the old degrading foam seals and make sure your doors/flaps work. AND don't forget to check the heater valve in the engine bay.

Thanks,
Its coming along.

I have replaced the Heater Control valve on the firewall and i have back flushed the heater core. it was not alot of water flow but i was able to get a steady little stream out of it. I feel like i should get some sort of warm air. I do not have the Box out. the seals on the flap doors are definitely falling apart. I have played with all the flap doors and changed them in various situations. I will check on the A/C Evap and see what it looks like. But with all that said the hose going to the heater core gets hot and the exit hose does not get as hot but still gets warm. Thats what leads me to think even though i get water through the heater core its still stopped up a little. It cant be much else but i will take a closer look under the dash tomorrow.
