every once and a while hell freezes over and a 80 series drops into your lap for 1,000 smackeroos.
I’m trying to give this rusty old box a new lease on life…. The Land Cruiser formally known and “Lamb Chop” or some times “Land Chop” you’ll see why in later pics. The lamb chop and the Neato cow hide table center came with the whip, you don’t name vehicles, they name themselves. Someone hit me after I got it and knocked off the drivers side bumper extension…so naturally I had to chop the passenger front bumper extension, I plan on a ARB bumper in the future anyways after I’m not dumping money into this thing to make it reliableish.

More photos from the interior and exterior, the carpet doesn’t exactly match the drapes on this car…. She a bit rusty underneath, the vehicle spent some time in Montana. It’s not rust belt rusty yet, but something happened and the forward arm mount on the front axle got torn from the bolt on the mounting bracket on the housing. So it needs a front axle housing ( on order ) and a front end refresh.

So I have already “detailed” this rig, and by that I mean the bare minimum but the interior needed work. Not to say it was torched by any standard and at least the previous owner was a woman and wasn’t the “messy NPR listening type”. Fixing wobbly mirrors and seats right now. I tell the wife I’m going to dildo around with the Land Cruiser, it always seem less like work tooling and tinkering with a 90’s yota, and that’s coming from a 20 year veteran working in a independent automotive shop ( we work on it all somewhat selectively ). Said shop in background of photos.

After working all week and into the weekend on other people’s vehicles, not much fight left in the dog but I mustered up the strength to replace the what I can only assume was the OG alt belt idler / A/C tensioner pulley. No crystal meth was harmed during the installation of the belts. My Toyotism compelled me to make sure the belts were just so.
