I pulled the Pig out of it's winter home to work on its tan this summer.I want to get some more miles on it and get the bugs worked out that I never got to last year.It looks like I'll need to rebuild or replace the clutch master as there is a slight leak at the firewall inside.I'll be pulling the rear drums tomorrow to look at the wheel cylinders. The level in the rear reservoir of the master drops a bit over time. The brakes are great but something is messed up.

I took it for a drive locally and it ran great.Good to have it on the road again.

I hosed the dust off the rigs.I didn't wash them - don't want to spoil them.:D

LOL.

Yeah I guess I'm a little addicted to the older cruisers. As I finish the projects I'm working on it will be extremely difficult to choose what I insure/drive.The 60 is my winter DD.I'll need to split the summer driving between the 40 and the Pig.

My son was really harping today about getting his license so he could drive them. And so it begins.......

Ahhh, the smell of old Cruzah steel ;p I rebuilt all my old drum wheel cylinders one time & just couldn't get it right. Prolly cuz of my 2  :wrench: skillz. Water crossings w/ those drum brakes was  too. I've since done the disk swap & no more worries. The body looks really nice. Any rust in the typical areas on yer :pig:? Is it completely stock?

Rattle can paint job still nice and bright.....still can't get the hang of that skilz. Love your scenery!!

Thanks. The body is rough but the PO of 18 years kept it patched together pretty good for a Pig in this part of the world.I did a POTM that tells the story a bit but I'm not sure how to link it here.
The brakes work real well but the rear master reservoir leaks a bit.I still haven't got there yet.

So far so good with the 10-15 foot paint job.Looks good to me.
I'm lucky that there is some beautiful country just out of the driveway.

I was driving down the road yesterday in the pig on a cool. crisp morning. Nothing like hearing the hum as it cruises down the road! ty

I hear ya.There's nothing like driving a Pig.Kind of a cross between a bus/boat/tractor lol.

Well,I had a clutch master delivered this week from Radd cruisers - thanks John. It was an easy install and everything works well now in that department.I'll be checking the brake thing tomorrow (I think I said that once).

Went out for a good run today to check out some local scenery. The truck ran great.Had to take a few pics along the way.
