First off, I just want to say how incredibly helpful this site has been for me, the proud owner of an 83 BJ60. I'd never had a diesel, and I'm sure would have given up on it if all of these great TLC gurus hadn't given me so much help. That so many people work to make this all possible is such a great thing...I can't even begin to thank you all. That said (!) these new ads are SO annoying! I'm sure it's important to get cash into the box to keep it all happening, but, where I used to jump on and browse for a good time, check out the vendors when I needed a part etc. I really don't want to open the site unless I'm desperate (which, don't worry, happens on a regular basis!) Anyway, thanks for everything, I'm sure this is just part of progress, but uggggh, kinda sucks...

nothing has changed from an 'ad' setting for some time...if you are suddenly seeing more, then you likely aren't staying logged into the forum and need to fix that within your firewall/browser settings.

the Silver Star subscription drops you to three ads slots, two of which can be turned off in your User CP.

But seriously, I'm with you and sites that have too many annoying ads, keep me away.

That said, becoming a supporter does a lot.

It helps keep the site up and running, it's cheap, and gets rid of 99.9% of the annoying ads!

Don't let the ad nazi's run you away Stick around. It's a great place to hang your hat!
