My friend was talking about where he lived in texas and as how there are miles and miles of coast to drive down there. Dose any one have any photos of texas coast line? Might make for a fun week, to treck out there later this year.

Once my FJ40 comes in this is the first place I'm going
I sure hope i don't get stuck or anything. should be fine though. From the pictures it looks like simple terrain, but I'm going to bring a shovel and some wood plans just in case.
Padre Island National Seashore is the longest remaining undeveloped barrier island in the world. Truly spectacular. It is sort of like the coastline at Camp Pendelton with no freeway nearby and no one on maneuvers 
. And of course much, much longer.

Tried to go to PINS last year, and the "Gov't Shutdown" occurred. I'm fairly certain it took more rangers to close the park than keep it open. Trying again this coming fall.
