Well Gang the 40 had its first test run tonight and all i can say is how sweet it is need to work out a few bugs but other than that its pretty much ready to go oh yea and an anti wrap bar for the rear WOOT MOON ROCKS here I come

so far everything working well still need to do shocks but should have those done tonight or by the end of the weekend anyway and build a new skid plate for it

Well gang, while out test tonight up on rattlesnake I gone and done a good one, and broke the rear pinion gear, sheared it off, definitely will have to put in the anti-wrap bar, drove home about 3.5 miles in reverse, past cops and through ditches, but we made it in multiple pieces... will post pics of the carnage tomorrow, along with pics of shock mounts and flex.

Wow sorry to hear that. I have seen way too many pinions break on 40's. The older ones with the "course" spline pinions are the worst.

So what is the plan now? Are your going to search for another 3rd? You definitely need an anti-wrap bar on the rear of 40's that are SOA. Looking forward to the pics.

Yea i actually have a couple spares so no worries there but i thought it was pretty awsome that i was able to drive it back home even if it was in reverse and 1 mile an hour its still made it back on the front end wont take long will have it back together in a couple days or less

no it would not roll forward at all it locked up trying to go forward so reverse it was
