I’ve never used The terrain selection. For snow driving can I use it and which is best selection ? What about speed? Thanks

No. You can only use it in 4 lo, which is not what you want to use in normal driving in snowy roads.

2nd gear start switch is for less chance of spinning your tires on snow and ice. It will continue to shift normal into 3-4-ect.

“Shift normal into 3-4-ect???? Please explain a little more? Thanks

When you activate 2nd gear start, you will be in 2nd gear when starting from a stop. The effect is to reduce the torque going to the wheels as you start up, reducing the likelihood of wheel slippage. But otherwise, the transmission shifts as normal. As your speed increases, the transmission will progressively shift to higher gears, just like normal.

I suspect this is all explained in the owners manual.

By 2nd gear start they mean ECT 2nd in case that wasn’t clear. Simply prevents the use of 1st gear due to the associated torque. How are things in Bend with the snow? We drove through a week ago but didn’t stick around as we wanted to get ahead of these storms. And as for snow driving, we did a LOT of snow and ice on our 4,000 mile road trip over the past three weeks and never needed ECT 2nd. Normal driving mode was fine. I typically use S-mode when going downhill, especially in slick conditions, to control my speed with engine compression. Other than that I just use good snow driving practices.

Yeah, I’ve never used 2nd gear start either. I haven’t had the need.
