Hi guys, my temp gauge never goes upper the first bar (lower mark) I checked the gauge with a light as mentionned in the land cruiser maintenance book, it works. I checked the impedance of the gauge, it is 26=27 ohms as expected. I checked the sensor, in boiling water it has an impedance of 32 ohms, quite the 27 expected ( not sure my mulimeter is well calibated as it is a cheap one.
I checked the thermostat in boiling water, it opens and close correctly in boiling water.
After 1 hour trip, I cheched the sensor, it gave me high impedance, corresponding to a temp of 60degrees celcius or 160 F.
I touched the sensor, hot but not to burn fingers.
My fan is direct, no fan cluch, and it moves much air...
So
what show your gauge after 1 hour driving ( gently driving, never upper than 85 km/h or 52 mph.)?
Is it normal the temp stays so low ?
I dont know what is the problem, any advice?
Next days I will buy 27 ohm resistance to connect to the gauge to see what she shows.
ThanksPascal
