My ex Ones have kick outs too. Regardless of what you get the kick outs are a must in my opinion. They have saved my rig countless times and I love how the rig behaves when you hit a corner tight and the kick outs do their thing.

Our FJC has Metal Tech sliders with rub rails. They are strong and the guys at Metal Tech are very friendly. I'd totally recommend them.

I would say go with something that sticks out at least as far as those sweet BudBuilts!! Those are pretty nice!

I have the Trail Gear rock sliders and I hvae not had any issues with them. Bolted right on easy and have definatly held the weight of the vehicle on a rock. Can't beat them for the price.

Once you've built a set of sliders for an 80 the sliders for a FJC are easy.

Built the wifes in an afternoon. Kick outs are a must in the muddy midwest.

I like my Man-A-Fre sliders allot. Only con I find with them is that they are heavy, 85lbs each.

I have Trail Gears and love them. I would also like to point out that the Trail Gear's sliders are flush with the finders, so it can rub on something vertical and still protect the car, unlike a lot of sliders that stay up tight next to the body of the truck. But its all about personal preferences, that's what makes each rig unique.
