Just wondering if anybody out there has used both of these tents and, if so, how they measure up against each other.

You'll find reviews of both tents through the search function. IMO they are two different animals - depending on your needs and your budget one may be better suited than the other.

I have read the various comments on and reviews of both tents. I was hoping that somebody out there had used both and could offer a comparison of the two.

I can understand that, Its quite a chunk of change to blow all at once.
Im not sure if Technitop has a US distributor or not but it could get expensive for shipping on one tent, Where Paul has some in stock...IIRC.
Good luck once again.

I just wanted to post some updated information. African Outback purchased Technitop Tents in South Africa some time ago. We are the distributor for Technitop tents in the US and will be carrying the tents as well as spares in the future. Some of the concerns of the old tents are addressed in the new designs.

Here is a link to the pages of the brochure. They are not on our site yet since we do not have landed cost calculated yet, but we are shipping a container in Nov 06 for delivery, hopyefully before Christomas. We do have tents, awnings, shower curtains and other parts coming in the container.

Just thought you guys might want to know.

Links. Sorry files are rather big, but working on that.
