I am sure we can come up with a way to hook up that air filter, you should pop on down and we can have a look see and maybe a spin around the block.

Sounds good, Vince. I'm back on the weekend.

That is really cool i'll be looking to for a review on that heater. I attached a couple pics hopefully you can see how I did my intake. If these aren't close enough i'll take a close up.
Some guys go with aftermarkets filters and some like to factory air cleaners. We designed the turbo kit for the B-series engines which where used in a number of different vehicles so a one size fits all air intake was impossible. Mine uses a silicon 90 degree reducer that attached the turbo intake then bends up. I swiveled the air cleaner top over the 90 then using a hole saw, cut a hole(underneath the air cleaner horn) and welded a matching sized short pipe extension that the silicon 90 could be clamped to with the same SS t-bolt clamps I sent you. I have that part# if yoiu decide to go this route. A little bit of fab but it allows the use of the stock air cleaner if you want to use it. Also, I used a standard plumbing end cap from a hardware store that fit perfectly over the end of the air cleaner horn.
Also, be sure to put a couple zip ties or hose clamps on the clear line/tubes that connect your throttle body and injection pump. Now that yoiur turbo'd, your going to blow those off the barbed fittings and you'll think your rig was on nitrous. Secondly, for the first month or so, re-torque the manifold adapter bolts after it's hot/cooled cycled a few times. They will snug up each time until the've seated. Small 1/4 turns on added fuel. Watch your pyro and add until your highest egt's are 1050-1100degrees under heaviest boost which should be around 10-11psi set from the factory. THe wastegate is fully adjustable so yoiu can increase/decrease per your likings. These are safe numbers in my opinion and it will be accelerating quit well but play with it as you like.
Let me know if you need any more help,

Keith

Ya, that first pic was disgusting, old school 40 series, how utilitarian!

oh. ya... I still have a 40 series :)

Nice looking rig!

Thanks for the pics, Keith. Yes, I'll likely do something similar to what you suggest, one of the other guys suggested this last Saturday as well.

Might have been photos of D42's setup that were in mind when the suggestion was made about the filter housing.

Working to get through the final details this weekend?

Yes, and no, well no, too busy with the honey do list....

I think I've decided to cut the end off my current air cleaner and weld it to a new hole, so it points down as Keith did on his.

I've been driving it around town and such this past week and it's a joy to drive. Just like any gas powered vehicle. It has acceleration now! :D

No noticeable blow-by yet, but I haven't turned up the fuel at all. Hope to get my boost gauge installed tomorrow.

I'll see what 10psi feels like.

Test Drive. Flat Highway 80-90km/h

No problem getting boost to peak at 15psi. No adjustment to fuel, yet.

My exhaust is only 12" long in this video; get the full exhaust next week, but really, it's not that loud, just a tad smelly! :meh:

4th gear, 4:11 rear end ratio. 3B engine with 365,000km.

I fired the camera operator....
