I know that on cruisers this can happen and now I am concerned that it is happening in my 4skin. It seems to leak from the input on the transmission. It used to leak from the output on the tcase but I put a new seal in and it stopped. It is also low on gear oil in the tcase. The question is, will it leak out of the input on the transmission if the tranny gets overfilled?

no. the two cases are independantly sealed.
if you had one seal problem , then another, your breather might be clogged. if it is infact only the tcase leaking.

its the same kind of breather thats used on the axles.

I'm unclear: Do you have an external leak, or is fluid disappearing with no trace?
On my 5spd, I had to replace the seal between the tcase and trans because all my trans oil was migrating into the t-case.

My trans also leaked out of the front seal at about 170k, coating the clutch disk with gear oil.

yeah the leak coming from the input seal on the transmission leaks pretty bad. I am afraid that it has coated the clutch because the po installed a new clutch when he rebuilt the engine.
