Tcase assembly help

Ok trying to put the rear housing back on my tcase and it is stopping about 1/2" short of going together. Tell me whats wrong and how to fix it.

Dowels in the lower right hand side of the case lined up?

I remember mine taking a little persuasion to get back together...
