Hello,

Im doing a transmission replacement and noticed that the spline coupler that connects the Transfer case input spline to the Transmission output spline is cracked. I may have damaged it when I removed the TC from the transmission during de-installation.

What is the part number for this?

Not available separately. It's sold as transfer case input shaft. You can press it out but cannot buy as the coupler only.

When removing the transfer case it is very important not to side load it. It always crack when the weight of the transfer case hang down when it almost out.

Thank you!

Also, do you have to disassemble the transfer case to re install the sleeve or would some heat and light tapping work to re-install?

Do you know of any options to buy the piece individually?

**Update
I found a used Transfer case locally (from on 07 4runner) and was able to take the spline coupler off that one using a bearing removal tool set from harbor freight. For installation, i just tapped it in with a hammer.

Also, I made sure to angle the transfer case correctly this time during installation and it went in smoothly.
