tarus fan what year tarus and engine?

is the taurus fan that people are using on their cruisers the same for a 3.8 liter engine as the 3.0 and is it duel speed?

Hi.
Im unsure of the year also, But I have read it has 3 wires not 2, They say thats the dual speed.
But feel free to correct me too.

ulternator draw

will my stock alternator be good enough to handle the 30 amps. what is the stock alternator output rated at? I have an bj60 1982 alternator

It's more your battery, the fan will drain your battery(ies) if they're kept on high. With a stock alternator, you may want to have dual batteries and feed the fan from a deep cycle, and just allow the alternator to just catch up when it can. But for continuous hot driving it'd be tough system draw. A deep cycle will run that for a numer of days or so before you'd have to plug your deep cyle into shore power.

If your getting one from a taurus you will need to get it from a 3.8 Lt. engine. Have mine hooked up with a 90 amp alternator. 180 temp therm and it sits at about 170 no matter what I'm doing.
