Tapping noise

Hi I have a 2012 79 series v8 it has a loud tapping noise when I start it in the morning , it dose quieten down when it warms up but dose not really go away, toyota says it is normal and all injectors are in range ,any help would be great as it driving me nuts. col

Sounds like lifter noise maybe you need to adjust to a thinner oil to aid startup lubrication. I believe oil viscosity should be related to average temperature. Possible you have a valve that is out of adjustment I believe these are adjusted with a shim on that Toyota v8 engine
