GRUNT: Yes. I just loaded the software from external cd rom. I also used my home computer and copied it over the "network" since the old external cdrom i have didn't read DVDs. If you have a cable/dsl modem you should have a hub that you can plug both into and just copy the cd to the tablet hard disk. Worked fine for all the software i've installed.

Just a quick tidbit for all of you running a pc...
I use a thumb trackball as my mouse and it is much easy to use while bouncing around
