swap '79 parts for pto winch

Okay, here we go. I've got a '79 FJ40 I'm thinking about parting out. The tub is crap and is a rust bucket. There's not much tub left and not worth parting. But, the hood and aprons are still good as is a few misc sheet metal pieces. The running gear is in good shape and runs. My son drives it around our place a lot. It has the drivers seat still in it and it's in pretty good shape. Will need to be recovered. 2F engine trans, clutch and transfer work perfectly. Has disc brake front end. No real leaks in either diff. Under hood is basically unmolested save the smog pump and hoses. I think I may be swapping the carb and cleaner with the one on my '77. The '77 has a Holley carb and Downey air cleaner. Both heaters are still in it and do not leak. Not sure about the fans as they are not hooked up.

Here's what I'd like to trade fro. I need a complete pto winch setup for my '77. When I say complete, I mean driveshaft, shifter, everything. In good working order and not tore up. I may be coaxed into an electric winch, but it would have to be nice.

parts for swap

Okay guys, I'm changing directions a little. I have several parts for sale or swap as you know in the previuos post. I need 2 doors for a '77 fj40. They need to be clean and usable. Can be just hulls. I have the rest of the pieces needed. I have perfect front and rear ends. The front axel has disc brakes. I have a real nice hoodwith a rust blister in one spot. 2f engine and 4 speed tranny all running.The doors need to be prestine or as close to pristine as possible Let me know what you might need and let's make a deal on the doors. Doing some research for a friend. Do you have the hard top? How much for the engine?

No hardtop. The only body parts left are the cowl firewall area, hood, bib, and aprons. I haven't done a lot of research on what the engine is worth. Shoot me an offer and lets take it from there.

I'll get a pic of it by Monday, it's on a friends of mine's Bronco. I've got an 8274 mounted on a Con-Ferr bumper and the winch sits between the frame rails. Same winch as in the picture. If Metal Tech has his winch bumper ready yet the bumper in the pic may be available too.

I'm after the complete axles assuming they are the large knuckle which started in '79.

Do you have a carb insulator with the heat shielding off that 2F available?
