This may not be the right place to post this. I moved to NW Houston. I'm originally from Utah and miss my off-road trails. I'm looking for any trails near by that I can go play on. Right now I have a 2012 FJ cruiser. It has the electronic lock in the rear. I plan to get it ready for Moab and other trails. But I need a place to test things I do that isn't 4-6 hours away. If anyone knows please let me know!

Check out Hidden Falls offroad park. Its near Marble Falls about 30-45min west of Austin.

Thanks for the response. I've not been to that one yet, but I have heard about it. I was hoping for something a bit closer. That's about a 3-4 hour drive unfortunately. Everything else close seems to be more mudding though. I prefer trails.
Marble falls, Gilmer, katemcy rocks, and BVORR are a few options. There some up near the woodlands that are questionably legal.

Thanks again! BVORR is closest and looks promising. It looks like you have to be in a club to use the ranch though. Can't say that's a bad idea though. Seen too many people who don't bring extra parts and breakdown in the middle of the trail. Can't deny that I haven't done that myself :-D but that was when I was young and dumb.
