Let me know how the Fox's work out. When I did my research 3-5 years ago there was only one person who had them in California and not much anecdotal evidence. I'm still sold on digressive coilovers but think each major brand brings something to the table.

Coil overs dont really improve steering that much (I did notice a difference changing my rear shocks). I used stock spring to keep the comfort. That's the one thing that will ruin comfort changing spring. Coilovers do make the car feel NEW all the time, as opposed to standard springs and shocks. I strongly recommend it for this reason and rear shocks. I do recommend remote reservoirs so you can dial in your comfort level but thats generally done once and you forget about it.

Reckless, I'm curious what you are talking about when you say 'coilovers' - my understanding is that all LC200 front suspension setups, stock and aftermarket, are coilovers. Are you saying that there are rear coilovers available that you recommend? I thought LC200 rear suspension was separate spring and shock absorber/strut. You just lost me with all this coil-over talk. Do Icon and/or King sell coil-over suspensions for LC200 for all 4 corners?

"Coilovers" typically refer to the rebuildable and serviceable monotube shock and spring assemblies, that are typically sold as a fully assembled strut. Sometimes these will have remote reservoirs and lots of adjustability in dampening, compression, rebound, etc. These include setups such as Kings, Icon, OME BP51, Radflo, Dobinsons IMS/MRR, etc. Typically $2000+

Basic shock and spring setups are non-rebuildable, twin-tube, nitrogen gas shocks with springs. These are closer to the simple stock design with less maintenance and must be replaced at they end of their lifespan rather than serviced. This includes OME Nitrochargers, Dobinsons, Ironman, Tough Dog, etc. Typically $800-1200.

Pros and cons to each.

Thanks - I think I understand now that just because a front strut happens to go through the spring, it doesn’t make it a coil over - which would have preload adjustments, etc. But none of the 200 series rear suspensions are coil over, correct?
