I have a mostly stock 1989 FJ62 with an old OME Dakar kit, OMEKIT-60DLL, that the previous owner had installed in 2009. I also have aftermarket front bumper which adds ~100lbs maybe
ome kit fj62 2.webp

Does anyone know if these springs came with specific left and right sides back then? I’ve read through the ARB guides and cruiserteq's ome info, but im still unsure.

My driver’s side sits about 1" lower than the passenger side, and the rear sits a little high—some stink bug going on.

A whole new kit isn’t in the budget right now, so my plan is to:
  • Swap the front springs side to side and see if that helps the lean.
  • Add OME D1XL leaves to both front spring packs.
  • Install new Nitrocharger Plus Shock Front 63063
  • Try 3D-printed leaf anti-friction pads printed in petg since ARB’s are out of stock. I got the STL from this guy
Is this just one big band aid or is it worth doing?
Anyone tried something similar or have advice before I tear into it?

the answer is yes they do have + and - or A B letter designations on left and right but whether that is the same at 2009 is the question. And that just means one is slightly stiffer - which may be negated after this long.

I would call Cruiserteq, they have been open under different name back then and they might have insight.

In addition, since it’s been 17 years - the sag maybe natural due to weight (not wrong sided installation). Flipping right to left may help - had to do this on my 10 year old OME 40 suspension once for same reason.

Many take a leaf out of the rear to make it sit more level with the front but adding a leaf to front may get same outcome (I don’t have experience with D1XL) it depends on if the rear is too high or the front is too low (look at your shackle angle). call the vendor - they have sold a lot of these

I will definitely give them a call, I imagine they would know.

I should've included that i took this suspension off my donor rig and did not mark left and right so it's possible I put them in criss cross when I installed a couple months ago.

Im hoping the d1xl will work
