Hi All,

I just noticed Amazon has this winch selling for $617 right now. If I hadn't bought a TigerShark winch a few months ago, I would buy it myself. I think that's a very good winch at a great price.

Always interested in being educated. What is special about this winch to warrant the price?

The linked description says 62 feet per minute at 75 amp draw. That’s probably not true under any load at all.

I bet they meant to say 6.2 fpm at 475 amps. That would be close to the Warn 9.5xp they’re trying to knock off.

How are they different compared to the smittybuilt or HF winch. Looks like built by the same Chinese dude but some different knobs and plastic cover.

Talon series winches are built in the US (or used to) and are stupid fast. I’ve had 2 12.5 talon winches on my previous trucks and can attest to their reliability and speed. If you want to compare it warn ZEON would be the winch to compare it to.
