Superwinch Husky - need advice plz (1 Viewer)

Hello to all, I would like to remove the worm shaft from my Superwinch Husky, does enyone know the proceedure please?
I have water ingress and contamination I need to address. If its too difficult, I might fill it with fresh oil and carry on, then change the oil again soon.

I received advice about this in another forum, it goes like this:

1. Get as far as the picture above (remove the spur gearbox case from the main unit)

2. Next, (with the spur gearbox case removed, put the gear back on the worm gearbox shaft, with the circlip

3. Keep twisting and pulling the gear till the outer locator plug comes out and keep tapping the wheel lightly with a hammer when it jams and it kinda falls out.

Make note of where all the bearings and spacers go on the worm drive shaft.
