Hi all
My 1999 100 series has a stuck sunroof and has developed a big interior leak with the recent rains.
How do I get access to the sunroof drain tubes to clean them out if the sunroof is inop?

Can I remove the glass portion of the sunroof and gain access to the top of the drain tube?
I know I can remove the kick panels and get to the bottom of the tube but that seems like a less reliable way to get them unclogged.

Thanks all...

Yes you can

4 10mm bolts attach the sunroof glass assembly to the brackets you can either take those off or take off the 8 screws which hold the brackets to the truck. Then pop the sunroof up and out.
Four 10mm nuts connect to studs on the moon roof glass assembly. They are under the plastic trim that pops off when you are looking up at the glass from inside.

I would recommend this route vs the screws as the screws set the glass adjustment.

Hey Ppressle, I'm troubleshooting a leaking sunroof on my 2000 right now. Been through this once before and it turned out the roof rack bolts were the major source of the water, not the sunroof. It was only dripping.

Hi all, I finally got around to fixing this. The suggestions are spot on. I was able to pop off the plastic sunroof trim on the sides without breaking them, remove the 4 10mm nuts and lift the glass sunroof out. This gave me great access to clean out the sunroof drains. Problem sorted.
Thanks for the help. This place is great!
