Got a call a few weeks ago from a friend - she had just rolled her HZJ76 driving back from a village and needed a tow back to town. Long story short, we got it back and I since I run a garage here in Uganda, offered to buy it off of her. She agreed, and now it's ours. The plan is to rebuild and sell for a profit.

So, what would you do? I'm considering switching over to a pickup body instead of keeping the wagon style. Can anyone confirm for me which bodies would be a direct swap from the pickup line? I'd love to see this become a double-cab, but I assume the frames are different lengths.

Considering how much I purchased it for - I could also make a tube chassis for it, do a custom pickup bed, and use it as a shop truck...

All the bodies, except for the light duty ones, should swap over fairly easy . However ,unless you get another 76 series ,length will always be a problem.
Easiest way would be to get a 75 series body and turn it into a swb pick up.

She did a good job on it :D

Is this the little parking mirror that you see on many Japanese imports?
