So I got and ECB all aluminum bumper a while back for my 80.
Then a few weeks ago I got a Smittybilt 12k winch for it from another Mud member.
So as you can see in this shot, from when I picked it up in NH, it has no winch mount. So I can go the harbor freight route or have a local Fab guy make me a plate. Plus I want to build in some proper shackle mounts for safe recovery.
I will have to make some holes and do some trimming to the bumper to get this to work. I was thinking about a nice hole behind the license plate, I already have the flip up plate holder. Would I be ok just bolting to the bottom of the frame rails sandwiching the bottom of the aluminum bumper mounts between the frame rails and the winch plate? I know I am kind of over thinking it, but I just dont want to cut too much off such a nice bumper.
