I have a 2006 GX with the ML system/navigation. My subwoofer in the back has blown and I’m just wondering if there’s an easy way to disconnect it from the amplifier under the driver seat. Not really ready to put a new woofer in yet but it’s hard to listen to with all the crackling. If there is a way could you give me which plug it is on the amplifier? Thanks everyone.

Not without depinning the multipin connector at the amp. It would be easier to just replace the sub with a cheap 8 ohm sub from Amazon.
Thanks, I was afraid of this. Do you know offhand if the speaker in the subwoofer is the same size as the ones in the rear doors? I replaced those thinking they were probably blown but they are actually in good shape.

The sub is a 6.5" but isn't perfectly round. There have been creative ways around that to include cutting the new sub to drop in, making an adapter plate out of wood or 3D print, etc. There's posts here and in the GXOR Facebook group all about it.

You can pretty easily re-foam the rear sub. I re-did mine back in December and it still sounds awesome. I had the SKAR 6.5" sub on-hand (along with the re-foam kit), but re-foaming appeared easier than cutting up the existing enclosure. So the SKAR went back to Amazon.

^Re-foamed sub after the glue dried.
