Hi lads,

Recently picked up a 90L sub tank from an old troopy to fit in my HJ75 cruiser. I dont have the crossmember to bolt it to and am interested to see how others mounted their tanks - and additionally how the plumbed them up. Im hoping to just run an inline pump to pump straight into the main tank (as it seems like the easiest possible way!)

Im not going to mount up new gauges on the dash - im hoping to make it the easiest 'no frills' installation possible.

Would love to hear from those who have been in a similar position!

You don't really need an inline pump. You just need a fuel valve switching solenoids. I don't think your excess fuel returns to the tank like the HZJ75 ,so this makes it easier.

What happened to the crossmember? I thought it was standard. In any case its just a matter of getting one welded into place

Thanks Rosco,

Unfortunately my cruiser came factory with a spare wheel under the tray & not the sub tank as others had - so i have a different crossmember to suit the spare wheel. Bit of a pain, but im very much in need of a sub tank so ill make it work!

I would look into third party fuel switch kits, there are a ton of them out there for the diesel folks that have the spare tank in the bed that looks like a tool box.

Edit, oops see you are in Oz. s*** man go to a wrecker and take the whole subtank assembly from switch to pump
